This week the Rotary Club of Birmingham welcomed Rotarian Bobbie Knight, President of Miles College. Knight highlighted the school's achievements, including using funding from the Cares Act and the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund to clear $2.1 million in outstanding student balances and allocating $1.6 million in emergency grant aid to provide resources for students to continue their education during the pandemic. She also discussed the impact of a Miles College education on its students.

“The challenges are great," Knight shared. "That’s one of the reasons we spend so much time trying to provide opportunities for the students that they wouldn’t necessarily have. Their matriculating at Miles College just might be the only thing that prepares them for a successful life.”
