Rotary Hosts Birmingham Promise Students for Effective Communication Sessions

The Rotary Club of Birmingham hosted Birmingham City Schools students participating in the Birmingham Promise program for a session on effective communication at The Harbert Center on October 20th. Rotarians participated in panel presentations to coach students on the skills needed to help them be successful communicators while serving as interns, during interviews with prospective employers, throughout their college experiences and in their future careers.

We appreciate Rotarians Bill Todd, Toni Leeth, Katrina Watson, Helen Combs, Stephanie Mays, and Emily Hall for participating in panel presentations. Additional thanks to Brantley Fry, Ed Fields, Alison Grizzle, Danny Markstein, Jason Eppenger and Josh Carpenter for sharing their expertise in a video shown during the sessions.

Special thanks to VP of Vocational Service Alesia Jones for coordinating and leading the program for the students.
