Rotary Honors Jim Hughey AND cHARLES coLLAT dURING 110TH Anniversary Reception

The Rotary Club of Birmingham held a 110th Anniversary Reception at the Harbert Center on October 3rd. Club members and guests celebrated the expansion of the club foundation’s scholarship program in honor of Past President Jim Hughey Jr. Members of the Hughey family attended to commemorate Jim’s dedication to carefully creating The scholarship program and expertly leading it for many years.

Also in attendance was Rotary International Past President Mark Maloney. He recognized RCB Past President Charles Collat, who is being honored by District 6860 in recognition of his leadership in Rotary and his generosity to Rotary International. Mark shared plans for a special dinner honoring Charles to be held in February that all club members will have an opportunity to attend. We appreciate everyone who helped create a special evening.
