Rotarian Will Ratliff Receives District 6860’s Highest HOnor

District Governor Carol Argo with Rotarian Will Ratliff and Carolyn Ratliff

District Governor Carol Argo attended the May 17th RCB meeting to present the Tom Milford, Jr. Service Above Self Award to Rotarian Will Ratliff, Chair of the 2023 International Peace Conference. It is the highest award given within Rotary District 6860 each year to honor a Rotarian who exemplifies the Rotary ideal of Service Above Self.

"Will had a vision," Argo said. "He motivated a group of people to work with him to share his vision, to advocate for peace, and to see the possibilities of what we could do in having a peace conference right here in Birmingham, Alabama."

RCB President Chuck Redden also recognized Will's wife Carolyn Ratliff, who is a member of the Rotary E-Club of World Peace in District 5330, as a Paul Harris Fellow for her innumerable contributions to the conference.
