Bio for Reggie Torbor
Reggie learned the value of hard work at an early age by hanging sheet rock with his father during summer breaks. He went on to receive a degree in criminology from Auburn University before maintaining an eight-year career in the NFL that included a Super Bowl win in 2008. As a professional athlete, Reggie reached the pinnacle of success in a high-stress environment that demands immediate results by honing skills like discipline, conflict resolution, and problem solving. After retiring from football, he provided consulting for various companies to emphasize the importance of these qualities until Brasfield & Gorrie offered him a position where he could put his own skills to use once again. As a personal development manager for the company, Reggie focused less on building structures and more on building people, devoting his talents to the emotional, spiritual, and professional growth of his teammates. The relationships he forged over five years in this role made him an ideal candidate to lead his own full-service general construction company, which he began doing in January of 2023 after many months of preparation and collaboration with Brasfield & Gorrie leadership.
As the president of Pylon Building Group, a wholly owned subsidiary of Brasfield & Gorrie, Reggie is recruiting, developing, and guiding a company of expert planners and builders with his championship mindset leading the way. In his new role, he puts an emphasis on bringing together a diverse group of people with unique backgrounds and experiences. Reggie is committed to bringing opportunities and tools for success to the communities where he and his teammates live and work. He’s currently focusing Pylon’s efforts on the Birmingham area, and he’s confident that their track record will soon speak for itself as the company continues to grow.
Reggie is from Baton Rouge, La. He is married to his lovely wife, Michelle, and together they have two sons, R.J. and Cameron.
