RCB and CAMP Welcome 67 Students into the Birmingham Merit Scholars Program

Birmingham Merit Scholars students following the ceremony

On Wednesday, November 13th, the Rotary Club of Birmingham welcomed Birmingham City Schools Juniors participating in the College Admissions Made Possible (CAMP) Merit Scholars program, their families and school administrators to The Harbert Center for an induction ceremony to kick off the year. The program is underwritten by the RCB Foundation and we look forward to welcoming these 67 impressive young people back to engage in mock interview sessions with Rotarians in the spring.

Following the ceremony, students had the opportunity to shop professional clothing boutiques set up using items RCB members donated during the month of October.

Thanks to VP of Vocational Service Selena Rodgers Dickerson, President Bruce Rogers and Rotarian Derek Brown for assisting with a great evening for these young people.
