Rotarians Honored by Rotaract Club of Birmingham

Rotarians Will Ratliff and Jeris Gaston

Congratulations to Rotarians Will Ratliff and Jeris Gaston, who were honored by the Rotaract Club of Birmingham at its annual meeting as recipients of the Mahon-Peinhardt Director’s Award. The annual award honors Rotarians and Rotaract members who go above and beyond in their membership and service during the year and is named for Rotarians Mike Mahon and John Peinhardt, who founded Rotaract and served as the organization’s first Co-Presidents. Recognized alongside Ratliff and Gaston were Rotaract members Meredith Hutcheson and Patrick Talley.

Rotarian Charlie Collat was in attendance to present the Charles A. Collat, Sr. Distinguished Leadership Award to Rotaract President Jessica Poor. The award is named for RCB Past President Charles Collat, who was instrumental in helping charter the Rotaract Club of Birmingham during his term as President of RCB. Rotaract leaders Amy Thomas, Laura Klein, Thomas Yerby, Macy Vintson, and Casey Hinton were honored as Paul Harris Fellows for exemplifying Rotary’s motto of “Service Above Self” and for dedicating time to improving the club and the community.

Congratulations to Rotaract members & leaders for incredible work in our community over the past year!
