Rotarians facilitate Mock Interviews with BCS Students in CAMP’s Merit Scholars Program

Rotarians conduct mock interviews with CAMP students.

On Wednesday, February 5th, the Rotary Club of Birmingham (RCB) welcomed Birmingham City Schools juniors participating in the ACT Prep Program through CAMP (College Admissions Made Possible) to The Harbert Center for mock interviews with Rotarian volunteers. The experience is designed to help students prepare for interactions as they approach college and employment opportunities after high school. The students joined Rotary members for a lunch program with football legends Mitch Mitchell and Wilbur Jackson following the interviews and received complimentary copies of Steve R. Skipper's book 9780 Paul Bryant Drive: The Integration of the Football Team at the University of Alabama, generously donated by publishers Rick Davis and Dale Wallace.

Thanks to the following Rotarians for volunteering their time: Rebecca Beers, Dan Bundy, Barbara Burton, Taylor Davis, Prim Escalona, Ed Fields, Alana Frederick, Brantley Fry, Jim Griffo, Alison Grizzle, Troy Haas, Bill Hairston, Turner Inscoe, Eric Jack, Alesia Jones, Laura Lee, Matt Lusco, Stephanie Mays, George Medlock, Mason Morris, David Perry, Dawn Sharff, Virginia Staton, Michael Stone, Paul Storey, Yolanda Sullivan, Bob Terry, Lee Walthall & Frank Young.

We appreciate RCB VP of Vocational Service Selena Rodgers Dickerson for overseeing our partnership with CAMP and other vocational service activities this year.
