Rotarians Attend 2023 Rotary International Convention in Australia

President Chuck Redden and Executive Director Dan Stephens represented the Rotary Club of Birmingham at the 2023 Rotary International Convention, held in Melbourne, Australia May 27th-31st. They enjoyed a visit to Sydney before making their way to Melbourne for the convention.

On May 28th, RCB hosted its annual reception for international friends and Rotary leaders. In attendance were current and past Rotary International presidents and other members of the Board of Directors as well as leaders of the Rotary Foundation

Rotarian Jeris Gaston also attended the convention in her role as Co-Chair of the Rotary International Membership Committee. She led a breakout session on the Intersection of Family, Career and Rotary and participated in a panel discussion at the “What’s Next” luncheon with Rotary International President Elect Gordon McInally.

The convention provided a wonderful opportunity for Rotarians and Rotaract members to connect with Rotary leaders, learn about the phenomenal initiatives Rotarians have undertaken around the world, and see the incredible beauty of Australia.
