Rotaract Honors RCB President Brenda Hackney

Rotaract Club of Birmingham leader Alana Frederick presents award to RCB President Brenda Hackney.

During its Annual Meeting on June 23rd, the Rotaract Club of Birmingham honored RCB President Brenda Hackney with the Mahon-Peinhardt Director's Award for her service and support of Rotaract over many years. The award is named for Rotarians Mike Mahon and John Peinhardt, who founded Rotaract.

President Hackney commended Rotaract members for their contributions to the Birmingham community.

“Whenever I think of the Rotaract Club of Birmingham, I am incredibly proud of the standard this club has set and the model it provides for young professionals seeking to connect in fellowship and service throughout our country and world,” President Hackney said. “"We are glad to serve alongside you in Birmingham.”

RCB Past President Charles Collat, who was instrumental in Rotaract's founding during his presidential term, presented the Charles A. Collat, Sr. Distinguished Leadership Award to Rotaract President Cameron Shevlin.

Dozens of Rotarians were acknowledged for their support of Rotaract programs and initiatives over the past year, including as speakers at weekly meetings, roundtable presenters, hosts and supporters of fundraising, networking, and leadership development events, and participation as mentors in the Professional Partners program.
