RCB Honors 2023-2024 President Gordon Martin

2023-24 RCB President Gordon Martin with President-Elect Bruce Rogers

During the June 26th meeting, RCB Past President Jon Blankenship recognized President Gordon Martin for a tremendous year of leadership and service and presented him with the Past President's pin.

Gordon began the club’s 111th year with a renewed emphasis on improving the community through service, education, and fellowship. He maintained a strong club and a growing membership, inspiring members to give back to the community through service and support of club and foundation initiatives. He oversaw continued progress on the goals outlined in the club’s strategic plan, maintained a strong relationship with Rotaract, and made sure members engaged in fellowship with wonderful social events. He led meetings with ease, utilizing humor, personal anecdotes, and a little assistance from artificial intelligence.

"In honor of your service as president of our Club, we are making a donation to the Rotary Club of Birmingham Foundation’s cervical cancer fund,” said Jon. “And now, I welcome you to join another special club—the past president’s club.  And I am pleased to present you with the past president’s pin.”

The Rotary Club of Birmingham greatly appreciates Gordon’s leadership and dedication to the Rotary motto of Service Above Self.
